Learning the violin from a professional is a must. It will save you a lot of time and frustration during the process of learning.
Let’s say you want to learn on your own.
There will be progress, but your progress will be minimal compared to when you take violin lessons with a professional.
These are just some benefits of learning how to play the violin from a professional:

If you’re a parent, then you can trust us with helping your children to develop an interest in music too.
Your children can learn from trained professional violin teachers and you can not only help them learn, but also get more free time for yourself since your children will be at our classes for a certain time each week.
If you’re a teenager, then you can learn the violin to show off in front of your friends or have lots of fun!
If you’re an adult who always wanted to play the violin but never had the chance to when you were younger, then now’s your chance to learn how to play.
It’s never too late to learn!
Based on research, you can learn the violin at ANY age. There’s no reason not to try to learn the violin if you really want to.
Many of our students are people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, and some are even in their senior years!
Music is for everyone who wants to put in the work to learn.
No matter what your age, as long as you put in the time and effort in practice, you can learn to play the violin.
Children can find a new hobby, develop new skills that will help them to earn better grades at school and make new friends.
Teens can develop better mental and physical strength and increase their chances of getting accepted at college/university.
Adults can boost mental health, reduce stress at work, and improve posture.
These are just some benefits of playing the violin while there are many more!
While you do need some talent to become a world-class musician, the violin is a skill to learn just like any other instrument. And any skill can be learned, improved or even mastered as long as you put in the effort to practice.
The ideal amount is 1.5-2 hours per day, but if you only have limited time, then you can practice for only a few minutes a day. In this case, consistency is more important than a big volume of practice.
While it’s true that you can learn on your own, you won’t have anyone to correct any bad habits or mistakes. You would have a lot of blind spots that you wouldn’t be able to detect for yourself unless you have a skilled teacher to teach you in person. So having a violin teacher in person is still essential.
Many of our students are in their middle age, some are even in their senior years! As long as you’re willing to learn and not give up during plateaus, then you can definitely learn at ANY age. Scientific research in modern times shows that any adult can learn any skill with the right type of training and practice.
It will depend on your learning curve. Every student has a different journey. Some will learn more quickly than others. The important thing is you’ll keep practising and learning, and not quit if you have a hard time improving.
It takes approximately 10 years of consistent practice to master the violin but it will depend on a lot of factors like your learning curve, amount of practice and quality of training among others. But even if you think you’ve already mastered the violin, you can still find room for improvement. Even the best violin players find new ways to improve their craft every day!
We recommend you don’t spend much if you’re just starting out. Even the most affordable violin can be a good investment, it’s in the musician and not the instrument.
